Title: Dog Flies
Post by: Bone on December 15, 2005, 08:58:01 AM
This may seem like a silly question, but has anyone heard of or used dog hair to make flies?

Hey, Jonny 5, you don't have to kill the dog to get dog hair or fur.  I have a fluffy white dog.  Every time I brush him, I get tons of downy white fur in the brush (Hell, if I don't brush him, all I have to do is vacuum the carpet and I could collect a bagful in a week).  I've thought about using it instead of white wool.  I don't know how to tie flies, but I read that people use (and dye) polar bear hair.  I guess you could try it with dog fur.
