Fished the Stave again today my freind Barry and I landed so many chum & pink we quit counting at 20 fish after fish action. Most were dark but we did manage to come home with 3 white bellied chum and two clean pinks. I used my old standbys Mat Green & Happy Hooker, while my freind Barry out fished me two to one with a mystery pink fly he bought from Hatch Match'rs Fly Shop.

My father and I actually stopped in there yesterday on a drive and I could not believe some of the behaviours of people there. Most of the chums in there are dark.
Fireline, snagging, etc...
SHAME!
The fly fishers I saw though...that looked like FUN! :)

That cracks you up? Next time I will get the authorities to bust all the snaggers in there. Personally..it was SNAG CITY.
People would back fish up onto the banks, kick the fish back into the river, keep Chums as black as night...
I crack you up? SHAME those types of behaviors..and I CRACK YOU UP?
sad.

Its sick i hate places like that

I find it okay to use whatever mainline you choose it's the leaders that counts. Heavy main line means less hardware loss why not???

Tangled braided line = money in the toilet. I once bought a braided line from walmart, and man did it suck *** I returned it for a full refund

i agree that sagging sux, but it happen when there is so many fish in a small system. i've also seen fly fishers snage salmon. and yes kicking a fish back in is irasponsible.
what cracks me up is your obsesion with fireline (braided line).

I was there one day last. mid week as I can not work thanks to the teachers strike and the stuff I saw I thought that i was back on the fraser during sox time. Bouncing betties 10 foot leaders and they where laughing at me for short floating. I caught almost as many fish but mine where in the mouth every time. so who is laughing now. Will not fish that spot again.
