Title: Surrey dock
Post by: Big Steel on September 14, 2005, 10:44:22 PM
Has anyone fished the surrey dock the last few days for pinks?? I've been thinking about going out after work to try my luck.  I had pretty good luck there last week but I haven't been able to make it out for a little while. :'( :'(

Can anyone post or send me info on where this place is.  I've heard about it, but was just curious.

Well if no one objects, if you are in surrey, and you are on King George headed toward the patello bridge, you will see a chevron on your right side.  Turn right at the chevron and stay on that road.  You will cross another road, then a set of railroad tracks.  This will lead you into a parking lot and you will see the dock.  I think that it might be 132nd or 128th.  Don't quote me on that I've never really looked.  I just got lucky and found it one day!!!

The turn off is 128th street. That dock is usually quite busy with no room to stand.  It is only a small dock enough for about 8-10 fishers fishing shoulder to shoulder.  I dropped by the other day after work at 6:30PM.  Nothing much was happening as the tide was already quite high. No room to fish and even the log booms below it were packed with people.  The place was covered by the smoke coming from the bog fire and the air was full of burnt smell, so I left w/o wetting a line.
