Are these "open and inclusive session" worthwhile or a waste of time?
Let's have your votes and opinions.
Thanks

I'd like to know why they need to speed by in their boats 25 ft from the shore where I am casting and create a big stupid wake. (no other boats do that).

I was fishing with friends who were visiting from Italy and they were surprised by the rude behaviour. Also they asked if flying by fast in a DFO boat and close to shore where people were casting - would it not scare the fish away?
Just so I do not sound like I am making stuff up. Both incidents occured last sunday afternoon and monday morning on a bar between Hope (near) and Chilliwack - and there were 5 DFO officers in the boat.

It is interesting that so far the votes appear to not care about Wild Salmon Policy and rockfish?
So, I assume that YOU all feel these do not effect your fishing?

No, I assume that "Pacific Fisheries Reform" is a large enough topic that it will blanket Wild Salmon and Rockfish topics.
Perhaps that was an incorrect assumption, but why treat the symtpoms when you can go straight to the root of the problem?

no offense, but at the time you posted this, those two choices were still at '0'. why didn't you vote for either, or? ???

I voted for sessions are worthwhile!
There was no option to vote for more than one!

My vote for pacific fishery reform is based on my opinion that the FN fishery is out of control right along side the sport sector and their use of flossing.
I think reform on the fraser in terms of FN will greatly impact wild stocks like thompson coho and steelhead not to mention other runs.
And frankly while I partake in the sockeye flossery (floss + fishery) I am tired of seeing the technique applied outside of sockeye openings for species that will take a presentation of some sort (fraser springs - spin n glo, pinks - flies, spoons, etc etc, ANY Species on the vedder...you get the idea). I am sick of hearing about the beak snag fest at lickman, peach, KWB, and may other rivers in the lower mainland. I would like to see a gear restriction of 2-3 foot leaders maybe no bottom bouncing etc.
