Just wondering if it will be worth packing up the camping gear, the old man, the kids and the dog up in the old p/u truck for a weekend of pink fishing.
Were there last weekend also what a zoo ! Shoulder to shoulder ! Didn't see any fights this year tho that is always good. Also didn't catch anything ! One bite thats it! Saw people pulling them out every once in a while mostly pinks.
Saw some smarty out there selling cold water for $1 good profit margin ! Thought of that several years ago and just never know when I am going so I can never plan for it. Although I personally avoid the intake of fluids while fishing.....as we all know the difficulties in finding somewhere to relieve the pressure when you are on a gravel bar in the middle of a river...especially when you are of the female persuasion. :o
Let me know what is happening up there please.

Pinks will be around in increasing numbers. The top half of the bar is excellent fly water. If thats not your game they can also be caught float fishing or with small spinners/spoons. Just remember that pinks are willing biters and that there is no need to be bb'ing otherwise you'll just end up hitting sockeye.

how long is the bar foot accesable?
-
If pinks are your target and you live in town, then save the gas and fish the lower Fraser. You will catch fresher fish. You can catch them by tossing spoons & spinners all along the dykes from Richmond to Langley, or casting flies in Gary Point Park area.

As long as the weather stays dry!
Seriously though, I drove my piece o' s**t 2 wheel drive caravan right to the main bar...pegleg will be foot accessible for some time to come.

Hey Sterling , maybe I'll see you at Peg leg flyfishing for pinks. I did go get a few Sockeye myself and found a great group of people that I met up with Sat, Sun, and Monday. Good attitudes for the most part. BP

I've actually considered something like that during coho season. Good way to have newbies hook up with experienced rods to show them the ropes of what is often frustrating coho fishing.

:Dmight take a run out there this weekend for some pink action or perhaps some spring action will be better ;D :D
