I understand that this summer brought out some reasonable fishing, and while you guys were enjoying it, I was 800 km away slaving my guts out, just south of the Alaskan border... :P
and this is what I have to show for 2 months of work:

Not bad for an afternoon's "work"

This arrived at the dock one day, not sure why, but it was worth a picture (weighed in at 42 lbs)

Biggest killed salmon of the season, at 63 lbs, it was still not the biggest salmon, a 66 lb chinook was released, nice to see

My personal biggest fish of the season, at 34 lbs, I realize this isn't too big for 2 months at where I was fishing...but it was towards the end of the season that I really started fishing hard core... ::)

Other than the fishing, this is the reason I go back each year, the hours may be long, and the conditions hard, but it's worth it for this alone.
And that concludes season 3, I'm done high school, and have been acepted at UVic (somehow), most of my future reports will be coming from the island, but I'll still be putting my little comments in the other posts (whether you want me to or not... ;) )

hey Spud. Hope you tried your hand at fly fishing inside Andrew's Pt off your boat. You should have been able to cut plug a few springs off where you guys anchor too ! :)
I know that island liike the back of my hand... :)
memories, memories...

Hey FM, I may know Andrew's point by another name, but either way, I brought up my fly rod for a 3rd season, and am still yet to get a fish on it ::)
The biggest fish I got this year while at anchor was a meer 17 lb chinook, last year, we were able to land a 42 lb hali (will post picture later), and a 33 lb shinook right off the side of the big boat while at anchor.
I work at QCL as a deckhand on the Driftwood (pictured at left <---)

This was the biggest fish taken off of the side of the driftwood last year

Ya i wuz born in victoria and jus moved here in New Westminster from victoria. The breakwater is a great place to go fishing in the summer also.I went out there one day with a friend and sum hali hooks and sum big herring,ya thats pretty much it besides food,a rod and some money. We managed to hook three big lingcod and when my friend decided to use his "kiddie" fishing rod managed to hook into a fair sized spring,we knew it wuz a spring wen we saw him come to the top right away.but broke him off 10 seconds later :o.
