cohokid and all, catch and release Fraser River sockeye salmon is not something to be done at all. Most of these fish still have a pretty long migratory route with many obstacles. By catching and releasing, regardless how long you were playing the fish, you are increasing the chance of these fish dying before they reach their spawning ground and spawn. During an sockeye opening such as this, it's best to catch your two fish and leave, or use fishing methods that can effectively avoid hooking more sockeyes (for example, spinfishing with spoons).

Caught my limit on Peg Leg.
2 sox  ;D
2 pink  :)
0 foul hook  :)
0 C & R  :)

Efficiency rules the day for me.  I fish for less than 1 and a half hour.

Is Pegleg crossable on shorts, or does it require a chest wader still?

EXACT same report from my camp. However, I did manage to hook a spring first fish but lost it to about 7 other lines.  :P
