After work the girlfriend and I headed to one of our favorite spots on the river, first I set her up with a bar rig in hopes of getting a jack spring, then I tied a medium pink buzz bomb on my rod and third cast fish on!, nice little pink doe. Had a bite to eat took a few more casts but no more action. Was only there for about an hour in total, saw a couple of decent schools of fish mid river jumping but no jumpers near shore. First pink of the season sure was fun, I had forgotten how scrappy those little fish are.
