Title: Fishing Baffin Island.
Post by: chris gadsden on August 12, 2005, 03:26:58 PM
Taking part of the day off from fishing to work a few hours as a volunteer at the Great Blue Heron Reserve.

Met an interesting family from Florence Italy who are visiting friends in Seattle. They also have been on Baffin Island with family who live there. Talked to a great gentlemen who lives there and it sounds like a great place to be. You do not have to even lock your doors, just like we did once upon a time.

The fellow from Florence has had some good fishing there and mooches herring just like I do on the ocean here in BC. He has caught some chinook and there is other species as well he says that run in the rivers, will have to research that.

Gave him my card and he says he will send some pictures from a recent trip. I hope he does and may join FWR.
