went out to my favorite spot this morning on the Fraser with the brother in law and we fished this bar for about 2.5 hours during that time seen a couple springs getting pulled and then all of a sudden wham :o rod tip dips down and it's on at first i thought it was a spring by the way it pulled off almost all my line but then when it came out of the water another fisherman said it's a sturgeon i said no-way but after 15min or so got the thing landed and sure enough it is,I'm kicking myself for forgeting the camera but i must say it's the biggest thing I've ever caught someone was saying it's about 80lbs. ;D

sturgeon are regularly snagged while flossing socs...especially well into the season when lots of guts start accumulating in front of the flossing bars.
In the last 2 seasons I have "hooked" 3, and my dad has "hooked" 2. Note from the "" not one of them were "in the sucker" (altho I cant speak for scruffys fish).
