Title: Are scientists playing God with Frankentrout?

Post by: BwiBwi on July 29, 2005, 01:42:38 PM: Triploid has been arround for awhile now. Chapman hatchery has mentioned that trout stock in lakes are tripoid. This is to prevent damage to wild stock straind.

Post by: DragonSpeed on July 29, 2005, 02:44:08 PM: The big benefit about AF3N stocking is that the fish grow to be quite large, quite quickly. They SAY the fish are sterile - the result is that the food energy goes into growing, and you bet bigger fish faster.
