heading to the vedder tommorw. any spots that are doing well? lower or upper river?
-
Sorry to say but i was on the vedder today and nothing not even a single fish at lower. I saw nothing and heard nothing as usual at this time of year i have no clue how people have cought them. ??? Fraser might be a better choice i was out there first thign and saw one jack landed but that was it.
-
thank.. i think i might check out the fraser then. were u bottom bouncing?
-
Yah but water lvls were still little on the high side not much of the bar exposes but deifnelty more then enough to fish.
-
what part of the fraser did you go ?
-
snaggy couldent go to spring bar cuz flooded and a HUGE bear was guarding the bushes lol not even kidding.
-
do you have to stand waist deep or are you casting from dry ground? reason why i ask is if you are just over 5 foot tall your waist is my arm pits.
-
Most of the people fishing from the shore are standing in the water up to their knees.
-
weres snaggy i ushalley fish scale bar peg leg and jones.
-
No snaggy i was like the only one with waders you can fish easy without touchign the water.
-
o hahaha
-
i bring the bear spray this time of year around snaggy bar. the blackberries are everywhere in there, and thick. Every season I've seen bear sign on the trail in and twice have seen and heard them.
-
roughly how big is snaggy bar ? is it very crowded or is there lots of elbow room between fishermen .
-
No not really there was plenty room and some of the bar wasant tottaly clear and i got there at 7:30am.
-
how do i get to snaggy , directions to get there are greatly apprciated .
-
This is the best i can do since i dont know the street name lol , you get of at exit 135 on the #1 highway and you just go straight down the road once you reach the round about and gass station and farm market. You just keep going straight you will pass a bridge over the fraser and then you will pass ruby creek and in the middle of the road near railway tracks will be lots of cars. You cant miss it its about 15 min ride from the exit. Then you find the trail into the woods near the tracks on the left side of the road and you take that to the river the trail is about 10 min walk.
-
thanks for the directions , will more than likely try it on tuesday .
-
Yah chances are you will get into a fish if had pretty good results there but just takes some time.
-
last time I went there we say NOTHING... it sucked... we say 1 fish
thats waz it...... and we were there all day have fun there
go upper...
try just below alison pool
-
so if i go to snaggy bar do i have to " bar fish" , with the little metal wire t shaped thing with the weight at one end etc ...? or can you fish in the fraser like you would fish in the chilliwack ?
and I am assuming that this is the area around hope and such right ?
-
at snaggy i think u can bottom bounce like you would for sockeye.
