Post by: Rodney on July 19, 2005, 03:33:53 PM
Here is a poster (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/fishy_news/file/050719.doc) from DFO regarding the adipose fin clipped Cultus Lake sockeye salmon in the Chilliwack Vedder/River system. Please take a look, email to your friends, print it out, distribute it. Thank you.

Personally I think this was a silly way of marking these sockeye. As on another thread some people have trouble telling the difference between a spring or a sockeye anyway. On the other hand maybe there was no other way unless a small disk tag could have been better but I persume the sockeye would have been too small for a tag and it would have been too expensive for FOC.

Any other thoughts or suggestions on this. Maybe I may in error on my thoughts on this one.
