Title: Fraser bars fishable?
Post by: Floater on July 18, 2005, 01:14:27 PM
Thinking of heading out this saturday just wondering if any bars such as snaggy or spring fishable yet without getting there with a boat lol. Water lvls seems very high this year last year i was fishing snaggy around this time with pretty good results.

It won't be long before you can wade out to Laidlaw. If you're tall enough and know exactly where to cross below the rock dam you can probably cross over now. Years, before my boat age, ago I made a graph which comared the measured water levels at Hope versus the depth up my waders as I crossed. I identified the maximum depth reading and I would check the Hope depth before I went out to see If I could make it or not. This effort saved me a few early season trips due to rising waters. I recommend to all the walk-ins to use this method. With todays gas prices it can save some gas plus a lot of frustration.
