Noticed in their last flyer that the Abu reels where on sale 20$ off regular price, c4 is 149$ and the c3 129$, pretty good deal I dont think they get any cheaper than that, might just have to get another for the collection.

Me and Double Underhooks just picked up our 6500 C3's at West Marine for their regular price of $99 each. :)
We got the last two but I'm guessing they'll get more in.

there are 2 abu C4 at the army and navy in new west selling at $119 each. they are in the glass cabinet in front of the fishing tackle.

we can't assume everyone here is from canada. i'm sure it will be near impossible for local shops to meet those kind of prices

Yep, big box companies can afford to have lower prices because they buy in large quantities. Unlike local retailers which may not keep as many in stock and rather order a small number when needed. It's also the local retailers discretion on how much they want to mark up the price. Sure you may be paying more at the local shop but look at what you get. If you have problems with the product its easy to have warrantied, you also get good service at most shops and they actually know what they are talking about if you have questions. Buy local so the money stays in town. :)
