After fishing a few holes this morning with no results we did some hiking and finaly found a small run of about a half dozen springs or so, hooked into 3 and lost the first 2 and landed a nice 12 lb chrome doe. My buddy also hooked 2 and landed a larger chrome 16lb buck. This was the only spot all day that we seen any sign of springs. Short floating ghost shrimp nwas the ticket. Talked to many who hadnt seen or heard of any others caught. Not as many around as I thought there would be. Do a little walking and you might get lucky.

Do you actually walk up and down the river to look for fish?

It simply means rather than sitting in one spot all day and casting to the same spot hoping a fish will swim by and take your lure, (much like bar fishing) you fish different runs, pools, slots that hold fish.

Sound like a good exercise. No waiting in one spot. ;D
