Title: Cap - June 15th

I have to be in to the office by 6am so a quick fish at the Cable was the plan for today.  Upon arrival at the CP, I saw something that I just couldnt believe.  Something 5-6 feet long and mottled white and grey....thats right there was a F*****G SEAL in the cable pool.   :o

I had been woken up by thundering rain at about 3am and with rumors of high water yesterday moring, I was hoping the water would be up this moring and there would be some fresh fish in.

Wrong on all counts.  Water was low and there were very few fish to be seen, let alone any biters.

I guess seeing is believing, I have seen seals in the cable pool on a couple of ocassions as well.

Hey CF - with your FN status I was hoping you woulddo us all a favour and "harvest" our little cap river seal... you could say its for "cerimonial purposes"!  ;)

 Too bad there isnt a type of birth control that would steralize them, we could put it in a herring and feed it to them.  I really cant see the problem ever getting better, with the amount of fuss that is being caused by the seal hunts on the east coast, I could never see anything like that happening is this ecofriendly part of the country.  Kinda sad because those people have been killing seals as a way of life for hundreds of years and it is a valuable sorce of income in an area without much money.

Well........Ya I cant imagine a seal up the cap...the otter I have seen numerous times though.  In fact, Bug Pumper saw the otter in the cable pool this morning.  Things that make you go HMMMMMMMM!
