Title: Carping in Ladner April 10th
Post by: BwiBwi on April 10, 2005, 09:56:06 PM
Try carping in Ladner today.  Water level was very low.  Only 1~2 feet of water at the first pump station of Hwy 99.
Rest of the area was too shallow to fish. Lion's Park water edge is about 7feet away from shore.

even when the water is that low, at the right times, there can be many hook ups... I was surprisead when they were actively feeding as well.  I havent gone this year but last year you could sometimes see the flashes of the carp around the areas where you float was in less then 3' of water.

good luck

I'll eat carp; in fact, it's pretty tastey.  The trick is finding them in water you trust.

I've talked to many fishermen, some practice only catch and release while others say its the best eating fish! ;D  Carping should be picking up by now.
