Not just for Steel anything. Possibly going tommorow.

eddie;
It's possibly the worst year on the Stave that I've witnessed for the past 10 years. I fish the river religiously. The steelhead, cutties, and whitefish fishing has been very, very poor this season. What did surprise me this year was 2 dollies over 4 pounds in February, I've caught the odd smaller dolly before, but none this size. Good luck.

Usually the whitefish are good right about this time same with dollies. I know the river is going to be mussy and higher than usual but I need to get out.

Went for a few hours today. The water was in perfect shape but not a single bite. A few guys were around and they had the same luck I did.

I agree this has been the worst year for Stave in a very long time. The returns have been very lousy.

Going again tommorow but going earlier to see if it makes a difference. Will report tommorow on how I did. Going to try minnow patterns this time.
