Title: Lowermainland Lake Fishing
Post by: Sandhead on March 09, 2005, 11:13:12 AM
With the lack of snow on the mountains preventing me from going snowboarding I've been thinking that maybe its warm enough to take the float tube and go fly fishing. I usually fly fish the sea to sky corridor (levette, norton, etc) but I think it may be a little early still for that. I was thinking of heading east out to the fraser valley somewhere like sayers, morgan or salsbury maybe hicks. Is it still to early to head out? Has anyone gone lake fishing yet?

Hicks will definitely be ice free.  I was at a lake near there last weekend, at a higher elevation.  Iced off the week before.

Try the beaver pond on the way in to Hicks.  There is a creek 1/4 way around on the left and the fish tend to hang around there.
