Title: February 11
Post by: Fish Assassin on February 11, 2005, 11:11:06 PM
Arrived at my local flow shortly after lunch. Once again my favourite run was deserted. Water was in perfect condition with a visibility of approximately 3 feet, conditions that steelheaders dream about !  I decided to start by using a homemade rubber worm. After being shut out in my previous two trips at this run I was tempted to move. The run was just too irrestible to move; there had to be fish in there. I switched over to a #4 brass / silver Colorado spinner. My first drift into the tailout brought an immediate response. Much to my chagrin the eye of the hook snapped off at the swivel ! :( At about this time while I was rerigging a wedding party showed up to take pictures. What a beautiful day and location to be taking pictures ! Ah, memories ! They were there for approximately 45 minutes. One of the bridesmaid was a drop dead gorgeous blonde. Difficult to concentrate on my task at hand when you're surrounded by such beauty. As luck would have it I missed a take on a roe bag. As the wedding party was getting ready to leave one of the guys yelled out my name. I turned to acknowledge  but for the life of me did not recognize him. He then identified himself. Funny he remembered me after all these years ! I think the fact that he was clean shaven and wearing a nice suit may be contributed to my bad memory. Had he worn his smelly fishing vest I would have recognized him in an instant !  ;D

That's a good story FA and to bad your hook broke right at that moment. Sounds like a great spot to fish and must be quite breathtaking as far as  scenery if a wedding party goes there to take a photo shoot.
