Title: Local Stream
Post by: Fish Assassin on February 05, 2005, 08:44:43 PM
Slipped out for a couple of hours this afternoon to fish a local stream. Flogged a couple of pools using rubber worms, blades and roe bags with no success.

Very good report FA. Not up to CG's standards but hey, it was a long day. Any report tho, is better than nothing. Hee, hee. I could'nt help myself. ;D

I believe a fishing report should be succinct. Does people really care that I filled up my gas tank, that I got stuck in heavy traffic, took a couple of cough drops for my cough ?

FA....we're a caring group here.  ;D

Gas might have been cheap, heavy traffic sucks, but is a report in itself and sorry to hear you've got a bug. Nothing some fresh air won't cure though.  ;)

I do! :D

Come on, be honest FA, the reason your reports are so short because others actually CATCH FISH in their reports. ;D ;D ;D

I'll be sure to write a long winded report on Monday when I go again  :)

Rodney, please refer to my short report on Feb. 1. 236 others read it. BTW can't recall reading any of your report this year.  ;D ;D ;D

Apparently Rodney has a template for his reports, goes something like this....

Date: MM/DD/YY
Location:___________
Weather:___________
Water Level:_______
Fished With:XXXXXXXXX
-- How XXXXXX Did: Hooked:*** Landed:***
How I Did: Got skunked again  :'( :'(

;D ;D ;D. Look what Rodney started ! Must be pretty embarrassing to be a Moderator of a forum and still haven't caught a fish yet.

That's because, unlike you laid back retired/retired wanna-be/pseudo-retired/pretending-to-be-retired fishers, I've been working my butt off on various items such as:

Entertaining girlfriend (who just went back home, so guess what I am doing next week? :) )
Moderating this damn place. ;)
Maintaining the website. :-\
Maintaining other people's websites. :o
And...

Working to put together the greatest BC trade show of the year,

Fraser Valley Boats and Sportsmen's Show (http://www.reel-shows.com)! :D

Featuring over 300 exhibitors and SIX seminar stages, including pros like Brian Chan, Shawn Bennett, Vic Carrao, Fred Helmer, Kathy Ruddick, Brian Niska, and many many more.....

Oops, I'm spamming.... ::) <whispers: Seminar details are coming on Tuesday!> ;D So who's going?

And Shane, what did you catch last Wednesday? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The last time I fished was back in mid January, and that wasn't even my fault that I got skunked... The guide took us to a place where no fish swam... How were we supposed to catch fish? ;)

Don't worry Rodley.  Chris said Master Nick will take you fishing.  He will take you to spots where steelies will line up and beg you to feed them. And Chris the servant will help clean your hatchery and tube your wide fish.  ;D ;D ;D  Stay tuned.
