Title: Worm Problems.
Post by: BigFisher on January 14, 2005, 08:50:08 PM
Im going out for my second time steelheading tomorrow, hoping to hook into my first steelhead. Iv gone to Freds Tackle just down the street from me to see what they recommend for steelheading. The guys working there recommended me the pink worm, roe and gooey bobs. I bought the bubble gum worms, but when i got home to rig up for tomorrow I realized I dont know to setup the worm on the hook. Does anyone have any pictures of the worm setup? I feel so stupid. I tryed to slide it up the hook and up the line but couldnt get further.

Hey BigFisher

The site that Fish Assassin gave you explains the how to rig, very well. One thing I would like to add thou is get yourself some good size beads or even better go to the craft store and get a small bag of sequins. Place either a bead or sequin between your worm and hook as this will stop the hook from pulling thru the worm on hook sets or snag ups. They are pretty soft and your hook and line will tear throu them fairly easily.
