Title: Jones Lake
Post by: Rieber on November 28, 2004, 06:26:47 PM
Went up to Jones on Saturday in the new truck. So nice to have a truck again. We went up as far to the top gate then walked to the mouth/outlet of the little stream. I threw feathers and my kid threw spinners then loat and worm. Holly cow the cutties were hungry. My kid had a blast hooking 7 fish in 30 minutes. My flies only got wet. Some of the fish were nice and ranged from 8-14". All the fish were let go - we still have sockeye in the deep freeze. With the snow at the lake and the sky fairly clear - it was postcard perfect.

Nothing more fun than watching a kid having fun catching fish.  Awesome!

We fished in the lake but right at the mouth. It looks like it would be worth while trying spinners up that river/creek. There was no ice and I don't know how long it'll stay that way. I wouldn't mind taking the boat up there sometime soon. As for the truck - I bought a new 2004 Ford F-150 Supercrew 4x4.

Thanks for the info.  Might take a day off and give 'er a whirl - maybe next week (or next weekend)  Nice on the truck!  Just got a new Tundra back in May.  Love having a truck!
