used to smelt fish as a kid with my dad (30+ years ago) around spanish banks area...was packed with people back then from April to June...is it still that way? I wouldnt mind taking my son out to see what it is like but when we quit it was 15-20 yards between nets...Any of you people do it ???

Used to do it up till about 4 years ago. Depends on what days you go, sometimes its not too busy. But if its good fishing, then its going to be crowded for sure. Almost like salmon fishing during October ;)

I have seen many folks doing that in Stanley Park years ago. Don't know what its like now.
