It was a beautiful, but cold morning on the Squamish today.
Still quite a few chums around, but a higher percentage of boots and lower percentage of bright fish than a week ago. I hooked a number of them. I had a couple that I could have kept but decided not to today.
Water levels are still up a bit from the last rains. The Cheakamus was kind of marginal visibility wise and I didn't bother fishing it much. The Squamish had decent visibility and thats what I fished most.
I swiitched from one colour of wool to another. Had some luck on a variety of colours. Interesting the guy next to me was using a small brown trout fly, and he was definitely hooking up more than me. I may try that next year.
Last time out for me fo this year. :-\ For the rest of you get out and enjoy these last few weeks of the salmon season.

nice report Gman.
Near the end of the year last year, the chum started hitting my black led holder. So I put some black wool on, and BAMBO....fish like crazy...VERY angry strikes.
Who knows what goes through those little pee brains

The last time? I've heard that before. ;)
I should have gone today.... :-\

Saturday afternoon will be my last day on the Squamish...for some smoker fish if nothing else

The last time? I heard that last Friday ;).
Good report. I'm glad there are still some around as I will try one more time this weekend for some smoker and ikura fish.

You guys sound just like my wife, she didn't believe it was the last time when I said I was done last week, and she doesn't believe me now when I say its the last time. Come to think of it my kids didn't believe it either, or my friends... ::)
Well, since everyone expects me to go again..... hmmmm
What day are you planning to go on the weekend FishOn? :D
