The end is near for some when most people hang up their waders for another season, BUT....................
Don't forget, we hope to have another excellent season next year, and the next, and the next.
In Chilliwack at least, the debate goes on from all sides about what the problems are, who is to blame, what we should do to correct things. The off season (not for me, I love ;D the steelhead season) would be an excellent time for all to get involved at some level, regardless of your point of view, and contribute to making things better for our passion, fishing.
There are 5 letters to the editor (go to LETTERS) in the current issue of the local paper. Your point of view is important. Do something, do anything.

For the die hard angler in B.C. does the fishing season ever really end. I don't think so. For the sport fisher this is the best place in the world so lets keep it that way.
Make ethical fishing your way of life

There is no such thing as the end of the fishing season :D

Nice letters. >:( When all else fails, you can always call it 'racism' to avoid facts or the painful truth.
How soon it is forgotten the masked Cheam Band members in camo fatigues wearing knives that would make Crocodile Dundee proud. >:(
Anyway, fishing never ends for me...there is always something to catch even if it is a bullhead.

Some of the best trout fishing in the lower mainland is during the winter I dont stop its my way of getting out of the house and enjoying myself. You will see me in my float tube on Sayres Lake in November trying to catch those 20lbers that I hear about and never catch.
