Snuck out to the Stave today, to take a friend fishing for his birthday. I set him up with a float and a spinner 1 foot under. Was into chum left/right/center ;D The odd chum would roll right into the spinner which would lead to a foul hooking, otherwise the presentation was well away from the fish.
I tried a few things, from drifting roe, spinners, wool, and flies. The ticket today was light colors, as it was overcast.
Saw 1 chrome jack laying on the ground, and 1 seal in the big pool by the launch. Still some freshies coming in.

Got my first Stave river coho today. I guess it to be around 7 to 9 pounds. It was wild and was released. Also got some super fresh chum. The one we bonked had eggs coming off the skeen even though it was really fresh with the bars just showing. Jack fishing was slow though.
