Title: lower vedder oct.18
Post by: smoqqy on October 18, 2004, 04:29:10 PM
went to the lower vedder today at 7:00am,raining a little bit. i've got the whole bar to myself. i can see about more than ten anglers under the KW bridge. i can hear fish on then fish off in a couple of seconds.
i've got a little bit of luck this morning,,five hook ups, three wild coho and two hatchery doe. the last fish is taken at about 11:00am, using spinner.
by 11:30am, as the sun come up,everything quite down so time to clean the fish and go home.
by the time i'm making this report, the roe is being cured for the next outing,TIGHT LINES!

as long as they bite, no seriously, clean ones will start to dry up within the next 2-3 weeks. The odd one after but slim pickings.

OMG! :o

Yeah, I know that it would have been skunk city.  According to my fishing calendar for the Chedder is that the new cohos would not be in until late Monday or early Tuesday.  This is why I did not bother going --even if I had some free time to fish.  The cohos that are already in the river would be hiding and completely inactive.  The trick at this time is to find their hiding place --but it almost impossible to get them to take the offerings.

Can't wait until Wednesday..... ;D

The river god is punishing me for sneaking out fishing today and beaching too many hatcheries lately. :o Showed up to work this evening and left after an hour as I had no voice, a cold! Watch out boys and gals... If you hear someone coughing on the river this week, run! :)

Hey Pep, sorry to hear about your health problems but hang in there buddy, you'll be on the river with us before
you can whistle Dixie. Oh. Sorry Pep. I forgot, you can't whistle. Well then! We'll just have you humm Chopin's 3RD. Symphony and then before you know it you'll be on that old river hooking a fish every cast. Stay happy and you'll get healthy. See you soon at the river Pepsitrev. And Smoqqy, thanks for the report and great going. I wish I could catch fish like that. Woe is me, woe is me ;D.
