Hey all just got back from fishing puntledge river,what a nice little river .Its sure not like the vedder people are friendly they dont move in on ya when you get a fish ;DWell boy there is some nice clean chums there  and I also got a15 lb coho..its weird there you can keep wild cohos there..wish I had took some pictures of the river and the fish..

Im gonna try the quailcum this week. Im pretty sure you can keep wilds there also. Its crowded though so i will go on a weekday morning. I have only heard good things about the puntlege. Thats a nice fish!! 15 pounds! chromer?

Ya it was fresh from the ocean and theres a nice chum fishing there ,and it was my first weekend there ever ;D

I heard they might open it back in September. That river was nearly dead a few years back. BC Hydro damed Comox Lake and sealed the spawning grounds off to the wild stocks not sure how many years ago. The local conservation society there has done an amazing job of restoring the Puntledge. Really there are no wild fish in that river besides the resident trout.

Looking forward to fishing it next week.
