Title: Cap - 16th - afternoon delight
Post by: aquaboy24 on October 16, 2004, 04:36:31 PM
So after reading about jigging for northern coho using these funky jigs, I decided this morning to go out and buy some bits, and make a few.

Went straight from my local tackle shop to my favourite pool on the cap.

I must say....they worked well. I was only in there for a few hours, and I got a nice coho, and my first Cap chinook of the season.

Want to put pictures up....but I don't know how....

Nice one Vince, send me the photos and I'll get them up. :) Did you also feel the magnetic force of the rocks when jigging too? ;)

Hey aqua great looking fish, good for you. Sounds like you had an awesome time out there. I had to much on my plate today so fishing was put on hold but got my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Good Going aqua. ;D

thanks ATZ...it all kind of fell into my lap. I had an afternoon cancellation, and thought...gotta try to keep the hot streak going. This week has probably been the best ever for me ont he Cap. I think I have pulled more fish out of there than I have in my entire life.

I will stop before Murphy can hear me bragging any more.

way to go on the fish Aqua. I have been trying to use jigs also. Havn't got any yet .  I was wondering if you were fishing the jigs below a float or just drifting with a jiging motion.
Also if you want to some see some about jig fishing try http://spoontosser.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=steelhead
mostly about steelhead fishing but don't mind salmon too.

No float Mike....just the jig on a 1.5 foot leader.

And no Rod..there was no getting hung up on rocks..believe it or not.

kind of hard to describe...use the link above, or go out and get a copy of BC Outdoors Sport Fishing (and Outdoor Adventure) Sept/Oct 2004

that describes how to make them.
