Where do you find the times for the tides. Hopefully on the web.
Want to plan when best time to go fish.
thanks

Rodney has it on his Homepage. Go to BC links

Do a web search. Duh. Today at 12:15pm the tide was super high in the canal. You do the math. ;)

For local info I usually use
http://www.lau.chs-shc.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/cgi-bin/tide-shc.cgi?queryType=showZone&language=english®ion=1&zone=10
An excelent site with info from all over the world can be found here:

If you have a palm pilot you can down load a program called "Tide Tool".
It works great.
-
just look up tides in google tide and current predictor and then zone in on vancouver etc. it takes a while to load up but after you save it it's ok ok good luck

For tide around Vancouver, this (http://www.dairiki.org/tides/monthly.php/van) is the one I use. It's very easy to read, with useful graphs. :)

Thanks guys
there is plenty of sites and some i like better than others.
Does it take long for the tide to push up as far as mission bridge or is it pretty much the same time as Vancouver?
-
There is considerable delay in the tides when going up the Fraser River. From Point Atkinson to Mission is just a little over 3½ hours difference.
-
i like to use the first one buckeye posted
i pick out the new west station and then add aprox 1 1/2hrs to the stave or 2 to mission
plus i can print out a calender from there to do me a whole month

Thats some wave to take 2-3 hours to get up to mission. thanks . Now i can plan a litle better.

It's just simple math. During Steely season - add three hours for the Canal from high tide @ Point Atkinson, bait up and cast. Mister Steely will be speaking to you shortly. Honestly, it's just that.
