Title: October 11, Fraser River
Post by: Sandhead on October 12, 2004, 05:49:16 PM
Well I went out fishing with Legend and another buddy and we made our way out to the Stave to check out the salmon fishing. We managed to bring a few to the boat, we were lucky that one of them was packed with Roe. Nobody wanted to take a picture with a chum so I didnt get any decent shots of the chum that donated its roe to us

Armed with fresh roe we put away the salmon rods and made our way to the mighty fraser in search of Sturgeon.

Here's an attempt I made of a close up shot of Mr Sturgeon's face. Almost looks like it has three eyes

Public thanks to legend for taking me out, good times were had. I'm looking forward to our next adventure  ;D

Now I need to buy some spoons off rodney so I can refill my salmon supplies :)

Yes SH another successful sturgeon outing on the fraser the last 5 or 6 times out i have't been skunked .The size of the sturgeon have been getting better i lost one which i reckon was well over 8 feet  it snapped my leader 60lbs like nothing. The run it went on was so powerful it felt like i had my dodge ram deisel pulling on my rod. Next weekend were having our little chum coho derby should be fun.

Great going you guys, sounds like you all had a blast. And
pretty neat seeing those pics of the sturgeon. Usually see
lots of coho and steelhead or spring pics, but not too many of the sturgeon. Great to see. Thanks guys.
