Title: Stave River Question???
Post by: moonshine on October 04, 2004, 04:55:09 PM
I have a question.... if you are fishing in a lake, by yourself in a bout, your allowed to troll with 2 fly rods...
Now the question is... if i was to troll a fly at the Stave River by my self, would I be allowed to troll 2 rods or 1 ???

Thanks

If anyone can show me the regs in the book I'd be happy too.  However, if you call DFO you will be told that the regs are 1 rod max. when fishing in a stream.  Take a small child with you and you can get away with it. ::)

the way ive read it is two rods only when your on a lake and by your self
so if your on the stave river is one rod only per person
now i carry two rods but only can use one at a time

Well, I have just talked to someone from DFO today, and they quoted from the reg's that if you are fishing allone on a lake you may use 2 rods. But if you are on a river or stream you are only allowed 1 rod.
