My buddy and I took my son out for our usual sunday sturgeon fishing. We launch our boat by Fort Langley and head up river. What I couldn't belive was the sheer numbers of salmon jumping that we saw as we headed up.
I think my son lost count around the 50 mark! As we sat anchored every 5 minutes we either saw fish (big springsand what looked like cohos) jumping or heard them! This went on from 10ish until about 1. Was is ever a neat experience!!!

How is the ramp at Fort Langley. I've never launched there before. I've got a 2wd truck and can't have it too slippery or loose gravel.

Ramp is good, I used my old Ford yesterday and it is only 2 wheel drive. The one big thing is if water is low when you are backing down go off the ramp to your pass side whe nputting boat in or out....there is a big hole/drop off at the end of the ramp that catches quite a few people...We had to put a guy out yesterday who didn't know about the hole and water was low...usually a quiet spot in the am but busy are 5-6 pm!

So, how was the sturgeon fishing for you? I hooked three around the mission bridge in the first hour, nothing big between 4 and five footers...
And then nothing for the next four hours

First time the fishing has been slow for us....we hooked 5 fish from 3-4 1/2 ft...it was a nice day to sit and relax...we only has 3 boats pass us in the 4 hrs we were there...that is the part I like about the lower river and sturgeon fishing is that there is no combat zone ;D
