I live close by Seymour river,,so having the luxury of fishing the Vedder, can only be done a couple times a week,, tops. Has anybody had any luck here, on the Seymour, Not much for me yet,,only 1 chrome Pink doe,,lol,,suprisingly good eating though..The river will produce more when we get a little more rain.
Love to hear from anybody.

The Seymour and I don't get along too well. I've fished it on several occasions this year for steelhead with no success. I've caught one steelhead and several pinks from this river. I have much better success at the other North Shore river.

Rest assured C.F. the pink was released to make more baby pinks

Dont jump on him so quick. Maybe he did not know. I know that is not an excuse but it doesnt make him a poacher. But everyone make sure you check the regs before you go out.

??? ??? ???

Yes,,I completely read the guide wrong ,,looked at the river guide and it didn't say anything about pinks, so I thought it was clear,, until just now,, I read the fine print at the beggining of the guide and it said unless otherwise stated,, limit is 0.. Trust me,, I would not have taken the fish if I knew..
C.F.,, I am curious if you have a problem with the natives slaying salmon with shopping carts in the Cap?..To everybody else,, sorry ,,no poacher here,, just unfortunate,,my apologies.

Ahh now THIS is ( in my opinion ) what this site is all about ... that is helping each other out in our collective learning process!
Good for you C.F. in pointing out that the Pinks are closed in the Seymour !
Classy way to take the lesson Barry McK.
I have fished all my life and have learned about tonnes of stuff, here in Rods world!
CJ.
< edit to correctly spell Seymour ;D >

The first site you should check for rivers beyond what is in the regulations handbook(free at any tackle store). Always check for updates. The dfo site is a little weird to sift through at times, but the information is there, and they will never take ignorance as an excuse to not hand out a ticket. Be informed, and enjoy your days out on the water ;D
