Thanks partly due to the support from a number of people from this board at the protest at Peg, letter writing and attending the protest at Kelowna the SDA has gained an audience with Geoff Regan this week.
Bill and Frank and a few others will be putting their concerns to him re the illegal fishing on the Fraser and other matters to protect the fishing opportunities for the sports anglers.
I was invited to the meeting but we are having the funeral for my dad the same day so I will not be able to attend but the others will represent all of us very well.
Frank will I am sure will post a report after the meeting.
Once again thanks to all that took the time to write and attend the protests. It proves if you present a good case and keep at it the powers to be will take you seriously.
Being able to get this face to face meeting with the minister is a victory in itself and tells the few doubters especially from some other web sites they were wrong in saying nothing could and would happen as the results of our protests and letter writing campaign.
