Just drove over the freeway bridge and the Vedder is brown as a cup of hot chocalate. As well unseasonably high.
Does not look good for the weekend at this time.
-
A friend from the 'Wack called to say "Don't bother with the Vedder." He echoed what Chris just posted. It's running chocolate milk.
-
Just drove over it on the way back from up north. Chocolate milk. At least the ho's won't be leader shy ::)
-
I have never seen it so high at this time of year, it usually does not blow out like this until well into October.
I am fraid we will be having a rough year, coho wise on the Vedder anyway. :-\

Thanks for the updates fellas. Was going to try Sat. glad we didn't waste a trip from Vancouver. Are fish even moving up and into the hatchery? Last sat. there were fish moving not huge #'s but enough to keep our attention anyways. If anyone knows any info would be great E.S.L.

Don't waste your time and gas for the next three or four days. I see we're in for more rain starting next Wednesday.
-
What is with all the rain? It has been horrible up here as well. Usually we can count on September for one of our nicest months for fishing hiking etc! Weird! I want to fish!!!
-
Its to get back for the dry May we had this year. It always works like that.
-
Thanks for the update Chris, positive side to all the rain we've received~great for all Fraser Valley river systems to sustain adequate water flow and quality for salmon reproduction! That includes the Cap. Any reports out there? Water was released at the Cap. :-*
All fisherman should use caution while fishing in these adverse river conditions. Take care it's only a fish ;)

[. Are fish even moving up and into the hatchery?
Last I heard 500 to 700.
With this rain and high water will be a lot more.
As I mentioned before, the high water conditions see the fish move through the system very fast, too fast for my liking.
-
too fast we dont even have a chance to hook em some one pull the plug on the river and let some water out :o :o
-
just join normfish to do the sun dance, remember wear the yellow rain gear and dance, you will be ok for sunday ;D ;D ;D
