Title: Packaged Roe Cures
Post by: Thug on August 21, 2004, 12:02:31 PM
Gonna be doing up 30-40lbs of roe in the next while. My parents picked up a case of Pro-Cure Wizard Cure. Anyone ever tried this stuff?

last batch i used pro-cure... it didnt turn out too well for me, but i kidn of rushed the drying process.  i tied up like 250 bags of it and when i threw it out the crap all dissolved and then the bag was all saggy and stuff

Fish_4_Life, I air dry them under the porch for approximately 12-18 hours.

I have not had a chance to try the Pro-Cure Wizard yet, but I have heard that it contains a higher concentration sulfite, than the regular pro-cure. Which makes it easier to burn a batch of roe, so use less of it than you usually would use ;) A few of my friends did not like the colouring of the Wizard, because it came out too bright for clear water conditions ::)
