Title: Fishing for kids. Vancouver and Whistler

Hello!  Heading to Vancouver and Whistler early August. Have two boys who are avid fishermen.  We will do a one day salmon charter from Vancouver. Any guidance or suggestions on where else they could fish during our trip. We will not have a boat and are splitting time between Vancouver and Whistler. Will be bring spinning gear. They have not fly fished. Any shore fishing in Whistler anyone would recommend? Any specific gear I should ensure they have to help them be successful?

Search whistler fishing on this forum. I know Rodney has fished up there a fair amount. I’m sure you’ll find useful information.

Rod’s YouTube channel has a number of videos about fishing Alta Lake in Whistler. Go to his channel and do a search for Alta. You’ll get hits to several videos. One goes back 18 yrs!
