This one hits close to home. I grew up very close to Bon Accord Creek spending time with friends exploring it's ravine & walking right to where it entered the Fraser beside the Port Mann Bridge. I saw the odd trout in there but salmon had been blocked by a massive culvert that had a flat bottom. It was too shallow and too fast for fish to pass it. There were people in the neighbour could remember salmon in the creek but not by the time my family moved there.
Some sort of baffle system as been installed and fish can now pass the culvert into the ravine. Some links:
