Going to Shannon lake in kelowna in early march; does anyone know whats its like normally? is it possible to catch bass or perch from shore?

seems to me that shannon is for ice fishing at this moment. Unfortunately i do not ice fish so therefore i dont think i will be fishing. (unless the lake is no longer frozen 🤷‍♂️)
