I started filming this video in 2013 actually, but it was put aside for many years as I got busy with work and family. When Hyde Creek Watershed Society's director Shane Peachman recently passed away, I wanted to go back and finish what we had originally planned to do.
You can learn more about Shane's work in the past two decades in this article, including raising $400k in three years to build this hatchery.

I hope this will invite a few others to get involved and keep a small stream alive like what Shane did.

i think the timing for this video is right. nice to see something positive about an urban watershed. also the story behind how the hatchery was founded.
i hope retirement looks something like this for me. my day job is less then rewarding but is needed right now.
