Has Anyone Fished at Eagle Creek by Montecito Towers? I have fished it once in the past year but there were no bites and a lot of minnows or salmon fry maybe... anyways would anyone know? Thanks for any answers!!

All tiny trout and salmon. It's also a tribuatory of Burnaby lake where fishing is banned. Critical salmon habitat in an urban area. Not exactly a fishing hole. You can fish at Burnaby and Deer lake though. There also have been spills there that have damaged the fish numbers.

Thank you so much for the answer, I wasn’t sure if I could fish it but i had a day off and decided to fish it which now i realize wasn’t a good idea.

A lot of work has been done on Eagle Creek. I live near there and often go check it out. I have seen chum, coho, and some sizeable cutties. Definitely a fragile system on the long road of recovery.

If it runs into Burnaby Lake I think it would be a tributary of the Brunette River the regulations of which are:
BRUNETTE RIVER’S TRIBUTARIES 2-8 No Fishing
you can see that here;

there is also this specific closure for Burnaby Lake's tribs
BURNABY LAKE’S TRIBUTARIES 2-8 No Fishing

Yes that's correct no fishing as I said.

No problem, we all make mistakes and learn from them :)

Ok. BTW parts of the shoreline of Burnaby Lake are closed to angling under a local bylaw as it's sensitive habitat.
-
yep, most of the shoreline is unfishable unway due to so many lillypads, large grass and other obstruction.

Thank you so much everyone! Now I know about this.
