Title: got skunked on fraser with young nephews fishing for coarsefish; doughball fail
Post by: dennisK on July 18, 2021, 07:12:25 PM
So the little fish kept eating the dough but not the hook. I'd get a strike but it was so fast...when I pulled it in the dough was gone.

So the doughballs were effective - flour/water/shrimp oil...and super small size 12 single hook....but i'd say they last about 20 mins before dissolving..

Any tips on how to catch one of these small coarsefish lol...

You might try a tougher bait. When mussels did not work for my daughters when fishing for pile perch we started using squid . Worked very well

Worms will allways catch fish.
