Post by: danielk on March 19, 2021, 08:34:28 PM
Just curious if anyone has been up.   I just want to know the snow level and how far I can make it I want to go to some of the sand bars way up the elaho for some fishing and camping    .    Thanks

Lifted and locked Jeep.  But I’ve hit a wall of snow this time of the year.  But I don’t think the snow pack is very big this year so I was just wondering if anyone has gone past the fish counter cable on the elaho

There are no fish counter cables on the Elaho. That is the Water Survey of Canada flow gauge. Good luck on the road it's in the worse shape I have ever seen. You can't drive over 10 kph as it's one giant pothole. You will be pissing blood before you go very far.

Is that what that cable is for!!!  well I hope the road stays like that to  keep people out .less pressure when bear opens haha.  Well sounds like you can make it a ways up there from what your saying maybe I’ll take a burn up it next weekend   And check out the falls.   Both of them LOL.   I’ll post pics if I do end up going.   It’s 50/50.  I might wait until we get nice weather it gets nasty up there
