Title: Minn Kota deckhand 40

Does anyone have any experience with these anchor winches? It looks like it would be great for lakes but I’m wondering if they are strong enough for the Vedder canal

Well didn’t get much info here but I ran into ‘the master’ and that’s what he uses. He highly recommended one. I’ll post back here after I get it installed

I think you didn’t get much feedback because I have not seen too many boats around equipped with one of those units.  The Vedder canal and down towards the confluence with the Fraser is generally is pretty shallow and not a lot of current so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work fine. I would be pretty hesitant to rely on it anchoring up in the Fraser though.
