I need to switch out the bearings on one of my Islander Steelheaders. Any suggestions? Money not an object.
Tks

Give these a try - you won’t be disappointed
Search islander reels

Here's a link to Islander Steelheader Boca bearings. Boca seems to have a good reputation amongst baitcasters, not sure about their CP reputation. https://www.bocabearings.com/parts/Islander-Steelhead

I have the ceramic hybrid ones in my Steelheader and am very happy with them.

Why not send it directly back to islander!

The same reason you wouldn't send your waders back to Simms for a tiny pinhole leak: shipping costs, wait time. Bearings are easy to pop in and out, no reason not to do it yourself, or take it to a local shop like Express reel if you don't feel comfortable doing it on your own.
Obviously for warranty work and major issues you are likely going to mail back to manufacturer.
