Title: Port Alberni Sockeye Fishery Shut Down For All
Post by: IronNoggin on July 16, 2019, 02:04:05 PM
DFO once again proving it's complete ineptitude for getting anything right.

Hammer the cupcakes out of the leading edge of the run, then panic when you finally get that we will NOT realize the minimal escapement numbers...

Sickening...

I dont this fishery too well. I was in Barkley sound the past few days tho and fished where it was legal to do so. Lots of people ( while trolling for Coho and Springs were snagging into Sockeye. We had 4 hooked in the top of the head. The Sounders were lit up as well. Lots of fish. Even in front of the Alberni boat launch.
