Fraser Valley Salmon Society and Fraser Valley Illegal Dumping Alliance are doing a cleanup on the Fraser this Thursday (September 6th) now that sockeye salmon fishing will be closed after today. If you'd like to help out, they are meeting at Gill Road at 9am.

Thanks Rod, hoping for a good turnout as when you look at all those out there the last month. Always nice to give back to the river that gives us enjoyment.

Sadly I am working during the day.
However I will do my part after work while bar fishing at an undisclosed location that does see it's share of discarded bottom bouncing gear.
Thanks for arranging these cleanups guys!!

23 people took part and we collected 2420 kg or 5,335.2 pounds. I have some pictures up the FVSS FB page and Rodney will be posting some too as he was there with his family.
Thanks to Nick, the Master and crew who picked up 6 bags of line yesterday and this week while bar fishing. It is always amazing so called fishers leave so much line behind.
A video I filmed. https://youtu.be/rXwL9bYwoZo
